| The light concept of Teresa Mar for the Vienna Karlskirche is based on metamorphosis and image messages, which are only opened for the spectator by repetition. The topic of the metamorphosis fits atmospherically Whitsuntide and the symbolism of the holy spirit in form of the white pigeon, appears repetitively in the projection. This artwork contains of the subtle repetition of different picture elements such as cross, praying hands, pomegranate, passion flower, fisherman/fisherwoman and of symbols as there is the sheep (Whitsuntide aspect), the left current boy, falling man (suffering aspect), the light figure, the EYE (heavenly aspect). Their metamorphosis by light and shade results in the actual image. |
