The SNDCOC (State National Day Celebrations Organizing Committee) awarded Innovations Unlimited,  a Qatar based company, with the conception of the Light Show for the National Day Celebrations.  With the help of Udo Kapeller from VMS (Austria) as productions manager and the support of  Pani Projections & Lighting (Austria) and Procon Event Engineering (Germany) this light show  included 25 locations around the Doha Corniche and was made up of prominent locations such as  the Emiri Diwan Palace, the Islamic Museum, as well as high risers, government buildings and hotels.      Starting with the 16th Dec Pani projected 133 children’s paintings chosen from over 5000 entrants  on the Commercial Bank tower with the ten finalists being shown and awarded just before the grand finale  of the celebrations with the fireworks on the 18th Dec.

Beginning with the 17th Dec buildings on the Corniche were consecutively lit up with all 25 locations  brightly lit throughout the evening of the National Day on the 18th, showing alternating motifs  in blue and yellow coloring paying respect to the colorscheme of the desert and the sea to    an orchestrated choreography.    Pani Projection & Lighting was responsible for all aspects relating to the projections,  including the creative process engaging several internationally recognized light artists,  Lichttapete (A), Starsky Projections (A), Panirama (D) and Projektil (CH),  the technical realisation as well as the provision of the hardware including close to  50 large scale projectors with a total of more than 4.5 million ANSI lumens of light power  covering a total surface of over 50.000 m². Around 800 slides were designed by the artists  for this outstanding event.
